where are you going
i am looking down at her? what am i doing? okay, i know let's go when you are 11 -- i will take us away on an adventure. we will go to a carnival with all of our bags packed. we will ride on the swing that go round and round and then later we will really fly away from here. so you can grow. grow to follow the fish, climb the trees, dream in other languages and stay young with me.
am i seeing
look into my eyes. you will see. i know what you think, i can see double -- it is true, you ought not knock on ladies such as myself. dollies -- we can see right through you, right through your clothes. we know what kind of player you are, what kind of toys you fancy and adults we know you too still fancy toys.
this string hanging down -- if you pull it all of the things that i have seen will come falling out. come back when you must. come back when you want to unwind. when you want to take away all that i've seen and see for yourself -- i don't lie.

◌⦁◌ dancing under the lights
it makes me feel like dancing. all night again. like i do with my hair down and later up. all over the place. a little salsa, a little vogue, a little hopscotch, a little pointed toes, i like to groove and i like it alone.

rosita and g. ma
when i was a girl my grandmother, frail maybe 85 pounds went to the fair with me. her eyes were gleaming. cautiously excited. she wanted to ride the rides. she was dying. she was bitter, but she still liked to run down the hall and chase us. she still wanted to be fast. she was like rosita. she went on the spin-peeler. she went on a ride.
this is the ride where you spin. you are standing inside a big tube.
many humans stand around with their heels against the wall. you spin so fast you stick. static crackles in your hairs -- they stand up. the floor drops and you stay standing. slowly some fall -- we all slid but grandma stayed. she stayed the tallest. the highest. she stays.

Be calm
Look at my mouth. I am calm. I can see things you cannot.
Be polite and calm your fingers. Yoda is my brother.

One Day
I promise you. I will be the all mighty -- wonderous one of them all.
One day I will perform fantastical circus tricks -- just wait. One day I will grow my arms -- I will touch the sun.

accidents will happen
It's true, I thought I would clear it.
I though I would have made it.
I saw Oscar do it and yes I know-- if Oscar jumped off a cliff. But I almost made it. I will get better, I will go faster, I won't close my eyes.
my face didn't fall off and I am here. No peroxide, no.

jumping raspberry delicious
unfortunately i ate it all i am sorry. i couldn't help myself.
i was running and running and i had jumped over all the hurdles.
it was late at night and they were all out on the field and i had
always wanted to give them a whirl but fear -- fear of falling.
today i could fall, i could bloody my knees. i just had to wait
for all the cars to go. when it was quiet i would move -- i could see the
raccoons staring down at me from the stadium though. but they were
cute and if they laughed it would be lucky. so i jumped and jumped
i didn't fall (and sort of wanted to, to feel alive). Miraculous it was though.
i felt like resting on the moon so i did. and then i thought of the milky way and floating in it. nan said, it tastes like raspberry tart so i ate one tart and it was delicious.
spinning dress
sticking with it. keeping it going, spinning around and around until my grandma comes to get me. i'm on the merry-go-round and i have vowed not to stop. i will beat oscar. i will not throw up all over my red and white heart dress. my dress is lucky. i wore it the first day of school and on my dad's moto bike. i'll wear it forever. i'd sleep in it if mom let me -- i did sleep in it when she wasn't looking.

stripped fat lip
you have 5 mintues to find me otherwise i'm gone. home. gone fishing on the moon to buy puprple sequenced shoes... to dance with the indians, those with turbans. looking for dust storms looking for vodka, for pink pink lips. where is the holy moly where did he go i miss his friendship. we no longer speak but one day when i am dressed in black we will meet. my black eyes will cover me--he will wonder what mysterious one i am, think we have meant before. i will lie. i will tell him i am anna and ask if he has ever left a friendship and why. i will hear the saga and tell him -- how sad i think it is and how i think he was wrong.
i am wondering where my martian when. i have 15 minutes left. until the lights go out. the apple leaves the world. someone took a bite and now it is decomposing. a lil worm is eating it away. the man with the stripes is looking for someone. he is looking for a wrong thing--a wrong one. he must stop. if i could short cicuit the the phone. if only if only i were invisible --the invisible kanga--rooo-rooo. row-row row- the boat down the river and into the clouds look for the smoky bar. the next person that walks in the room (besides the stripped one i will tell their fortune. the truth. i will some them up--come on now lil one walk on through, walk the plank, drown -- it's okay to die--you can get influence) everyone is leaving and no one is coming. where are the comers. the new comers. they are dead, they are gone. one walks by nearly touches the door. here he comes -- strong arms, he is about to get...
into a fight tonight. his lip will bleed and a girl will bring him ice (she will ask to suck his blood -- she is a vampire) . he falls asleep and wakes up in a park. on the playground under the swings-- he has 11 minutes to get to work. to cover his black eye and wonder why his lip was bleeding.
